Recovery trends intensified in 2012 in the Orange County office market. By the end of 2012 the vacancy rate had slipped to nearly 18.0%, down from a quarter earlier, down 160 for the year. Asking and effective averages for fourth quarter 2012 were up only 1.4% and 1.5% from a year earlier following smaller gains the year before. Respective gains for the fourth quarter alone were 0.9% and 1.0%. (3/13/13)
